At the age of 13 Nancy started to perform in many large venues such as The Cockpit in (Leeds) and The Royal Hall (Harrogate), she took part in many events which lead to her being a known popular singer within her area. She quickly then developed confidence on a stage performing with bands and entertaining people, this was mainly to mainstream popular music covers. As she then grew older she was part of a local band called A-Stray, a group of 5 musicians creating individual music to release an EP at the young age of 15. At 17 Nancy became the youngest finalist of Pub Factor, a regional vocal competition… here she performed a mixture of original songs and covers winning the audiences heart as she performed the songs emotionally and portrayed the meaning of each song. Busking has also been a very large part of Nancy’s success. With great feedback and appealing to many age groups she receives a lot of work through busking, booking various parties and gigs. Nancy’s music is electronic. She uses pedals to create various vocal effects, to loop her own voice, add harmonies and create texture to many of her pieces. One of the only musicians of her age and gender that involves elements of rap within her original material, to capture audiences and make them listen to the meaning of her songs. She is a passionate musician with originality and drive.
